Cardiac arrest led to Wednesday accident

The man who died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning near Patrick Lane and Eastern Avenue has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Steven Lucero, 64, of Henderson was killed after his 2009 Dodge Avenger hit two trees, swerved into the road, crossed all traffic lanes and hit a curb on the other side of the road, according to Las Vegas police.

Lucero died from cardiac arrest, the coroner’s office said.

There were two other passengers in the car and their conditions are unknown. Police are investigating the accident.
