Motorcyclist who died near Lake Mead identified

A man who died after crashing his motorcycle near Lake Mead on Sunday morning has been identified.

Aaron Gadd, 29, of Henderson, died after his motorcycle went off Northshore Road around 7:40 a.m.

Park rangers found him about 40 feet off the road. Rangers and paramedics worked to save Gadd’s life, but he was pronounced dead just before 9 a.m.

Early reports show that speed may be a contributing factor to the crash, according to Lake Mead officials.

Authorities said Gadd was wearing protective gear.
