Las Vegas police searching for man who robbed east valley store at knifepoint

Las Vegas police are searching for a man who robbed an east valley cellphone store at knifepoint last week.

The man entered the MetroPCS at 4160 E. Sahara Ave., near Lamb Boulevard, about 6:15 p.m. May 24. Police said the man looked around as if he were a customer, then robbed the clerk with a butcher-type knife.

The man then ran away, making off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police did not release a physical description, but surveillance photos suggest the man was last seen wearing a black and white hat, a black shirt with a white design and white sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Metropolitan Police Department at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
