Tastes of freedom: Food and drink specials for voters

Participation in democracy is, of course, its own reward. That doesn’t mean you can’t collect on one of the added perks these local establishments are offering to voters.

Krispy Kreme: You won’t even need a sticker to get a free doughnut here on Election Day — they’ll just give you one. Drop by your Krispy Kreme on Tuesday and pick up an original glazed doughnut — they’ll accompany it with a sticker while supplies last. Multiple locations, krispykreme.com

Mercato Della Pescheria: Voters with a sticker will get free Italian bubbly with the purchase of select entrees on Tuesday. The complimentary glass of prosecco is available with any of the seasonal specials, including butternut squash ravioli, porchetta and seafood stew. Coffee Bar at The Plaza: Guests who show their “I Voted” sticker between 6:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. can choose from a free orange juice or free coffee. plazahotelcasino.com

Gus Dean’s: Now through Tuesday, this Vegas-born ice cream company is offering a $2 discount to voters. Just show your sticker when you order a cup, cone or shake at their locations in Meadows Mall, Pawn Plaza or The Venetian. gusdeans.com

Cupkates Las Vegas: This Tivoli Village shop will offer specially-priced Election Day cupcakes all day on Tuesday — no proof of voting required. Red velvet cupcakes with red, white and blue sprinkles will be $2 apiece for everyone. Tivoli Village, cupkateslv.com

Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria: The Summerlin pizza spot will offer a special Berry Glad You Voted cocktail on Tuesday, made with Vegas Baby vodka, lemon juice, blueberries, raspberries, basil and club soda. Grubhub: Several Grubhub partners are offering Election Day discounts for delivery orders placed through the Grubhub or Seamless apps. They include Burger King, California Pizza Kitchen and 7-Eleven, with a complete list available under the “perks” tab on those apps.
